I'm not quite sure what triggered the ban but I find it rather unfortunate that my character was even detected as a bot. Hit with the ban hammer after about 5 days of membership, this happened at about 11pm my time whilst I had just moved from pest control (trying to obtain full void) to the range guild to do a bit or archery practice and cash in some of my previously gained archery tickets. Now with uni holidays and lots of spare time,i figured it would be wise to use this time to my advantage to set up a pker for when I have free time in the future to do a bit of casual pking and just generally have some fun. It started off good, did some research into what clients everyone is using now a-days, good-ol swift kit seemed like it was a bit outdated and slowly losing the best rs client race against OSBuddy - so I decided to go pro and use the OSBuddy client with my newly created account. Left a sour taste in my mouth and I dont think I will support Jagex in any way in the future.So recently I have been leveling a new account going by the name of 0wningy0u which I started after just coming back to oldschool Runescape a few days ago. And no way at all to plead my case for them. What is the matter with the bot detection system that it doesnt let a person play a lot without confusing it for a bot. So now I lost all my progess, my 5 bonds that I didn't even get to cash in on, and all joy and nostalgia I was enjoying. The ban appeal came back today, rejected. I turned to appeal the ban and it did not even let me type a reason for why I was appealing, I understand that playing for 20 hours straight is a bit suspect, but I can't be the only one who has done that. The day after I woke up to a banned account, with a notice saying I have been using macroing, or bots, which I absolutely have not used.
I even bought 5 bonds before I logged out because I enjoyed it and wanted to grind up some smithing and crafting.
all in all it may have been around 20 hours semi-consecutive. I was playing all day before a night shift, then played all night on my phone at work, and again for a few hours when I got home. I recently started playing OSRS after realizing I could download it on my phone, I had a blast playing it at work, my work is super easy so I can spend most of my day on my phone.
